tai ji means supreme ultimate, like the yin yang symbol, i think, the everything, ultimate everything, the universe to the ultimate limits of the universe, including everything to the smallest quark. chuan maybe means fist. but tai ji or tai chi by itself doesn't include fist

it's called 24 step taichi because it consists of 8 main parts with three repetitions each mainly: parting the horse's mane, white crane flashing wings, brush knee twist step, strumming the lute, repulsing the monkey, grabbing the bird's tail and patting the horse if im not mistaken. white crane flashing wings, strumming the lute are transition steps in between main steps

Hey guys, theres a podcast on iTunes that'll teach you this (not mine) that i'm learning from. It's called "Tai Chi for Well-Being" They have a website but it sucks. I got it late last night, and I can only do two of the moves! They say 24 steps, but it seems like alot more than that. It's very confusing, that second one, if you are a beginner like me. This is the Tai Qi Quan Yang Style 24-Step Form. (long name for a long form) Good luck people!

It does mean grand ultimate fist or supreme ultimate fist or grand ultimate screw depending on ths translator. She does this simple 24 posture form with some great body movement and beautiful transitions. Wow, it is a pure Yang form and I still love it.
