It is worth it because it comes with a bunch of extras like the old games, Metal gear and metal gear 2. It also comes with parody videos as well with duel mode and more snake vs monkey mini games. You also have a 3D camera which would be eaiser to use to look around. Just because online is gone, doesn't mean it's not worth it. Get it if you are a fan of MGS.

Yeah the servers are down for subsitence. There was a petition to keep them open, but it wasn't to be ahaa. Still, you've got MGO and portable ops which are still good. My fave was subsistence though :\

Subsistence had online features but they discontinued them it also has the two original metal gears on it which were released in the 80's its got tons of extra features. im telling you if you can find it- get it it is definatley worth it

uhh yeah thats why the new MGO IS BETTER! its going to have multiple expansions that will blow any other online game out there. Subsistence was good i played the online from when it first came out and until it ended April, 3 2007. Bottom line you are all tools and need to accept that the new MGO kicks ass! and yes "I dont care what anyone says" -pwned

This is a better game than the new MGO...why well first off what we are all playing on the PS3 is the starter pack. Theres still tons of stuff that kojima productions will put up but in the long run it will be much better than subsistences MGO..as long as you got the cash :(
